Match
report
On what will be my final report this season can I just thank all
the fans
for their complete support throughout the season.
The Stingers travelled to Bamber Bridge extremely nervous and
just proud of
the teams we had beaten to get to the final. After a quick detour
(the
coach driver got lost) we arrived at what was a good stadium.
The
starting 11 were extremely nervous and the Stingers didn't get
off to a
great start at all. Bolton scored after 5 minutes with a ball I
should of
had. (I had lost a glove on the coach and might of well have had
carrier
bags on my hands)...Stingers equalised with a goal at the other
end which I
couldn't really see but it lifted our spirit's as the Stingers
played some
good football. Stingers didn't really have many shots on goal and
Bolton
took the score 2-1.
Half time was needed as Stingers appeared subdued
and
I think overwhelmed by the day.
We came out in the second half
and played
better football, I clashed with Gregory's girl a couple of times
which I
was cautioned for but my head had gone down really. Bolton scored
a third
to seal a win that on a good day I really believe Stingers could
have won.
In what was to be Eve's last game for the Stingers she just didn't
have
much chance to shoot and was subbed for Jin. Gwen and Maximus came
on and
gave a positive contribution. After the final whistle it was like
watching
watership down all over again with enough water produced to plug
the
supposed drought!!
Stingers were down but we must just be extremely
proud
of what we have all achieved this season in our positions and hope
next
year we get just as far. I hope you all have a great summer and
season
next year as I am now signing off, I have become quite attached
to my
reports and I hope I have made you all laugh...
I would just like
to thank
Jodie for pushing me out of the shopping trolley and making me
cut my hands
and making the whole team laugh at me.....
