Match report The Stingers got off to a very unsettled first ten minutes
with Buxton
having most of the possession and a somewhat vocal support. Buxtons
linesman should have gone to Specasavers with a very dodgy decision,
Eve
was chopped in half in Buxton's area but the linesman decided it
was
outside the box. Buxton got a corner and scored a simple goal. With
the
bleating sheep ( I mean Buxton supporters) against us throughout
the
match the Stingers were gallant in their determination to score.
Eve had
many chances to score but was closely marked. The Stingers defence
played
brilliantly and yes that does include me. Eve scored the 1st Stingers
goal
and Max followed, both goals fantastic. In the second half to say
the
Stingers were wound up was an understatement, Buxton began to get
tired and became scrappy. The Stingers played their hearts out and
Eve scored
another 2 goals. The end result 4-1 made us all feel emotional and
it was
blissful not hearing any abuse form the Buxton support!!
This game displayed the Stingers determination not to let anything
get in
our paths, having confidence in our own ability once again shone
through.
Lisa blessed Manchester with her presence this weekend, I am sorry
I
couldn't make it but I decided to put hot pins in my eyes. Sorry
Lisa
maybe we can meet up next year? Jane Laycock
