Match Report
The Stingers arrived at Frodsham fresh from a summer of love and rest. The weather held off until the whistle was blown and then the rain began. Stingers started ok with the wind playing a huge part in making the play all down the left hand side. Stingers have played a couple of friendly games but we still need time to get used to our new players.

Stingers scored with a goal from Nic and then Frodsham equalised. I had a very poor game and I just couldn’t keep the ball in my hands. Stingers went 2-1 up with a rebound goal from Emma. Stingers could have won this game with shots hitting the bar and post. The weather played a big part in the game with the Stingers going off at half time looking like drowned rats. Coach had to be removed from the pitch due to a dispute with the ref, who some may argue appeared to make some very strange decisions. Frodsham made it 2-2 with a free kick which I could quite easily have tipped over the bar, but alas I was weighed down with water. Stingers made it 3-2 with a great run from Jinny crossing the ball for it to land on Vicky's feet. A well worked goal. In the last ten minutes I went for the ball and unfortunately brought their player down, this could have been bad news for the Stingers but I didn't even get a yellow, much to the dismay of Frodsham. Frodsham equalised with a goal that I should have had. Overall a frustrating game that we could have won easily but at times we played good football and this should give us something to work on.
