Match Report
Fresh from “How do you solve a problem like Maria”, Stingers
travelled to
Glossop knowing that we must win and defeat wasn’t an option.
Stingers had
previously had good results from games with Glossop so the game didn’t
worry us too much. Stingers started relatively well but were finding
it
hard to actually get shots into the back of the net. A lot of good
passing
was happening with us starting strong from defence and using the whole
pitch. Glossop had new players and looked a lot stronger and did have
some
chances. The first goal came from Jin, which lifted Stingers confidence.
The play was still good from the Stingers who went into half time feeling
that the score could be much different. The second half started with
Glossop looking tired and Stingers playing some decent football. Emma
scored quickly followed by Jin again who was after a hat-trick. Vicky
who
ceases to amaze us every game scored a great goal and Glossop didn’t
really
give up they were just tired. Mini me finished with a header from a
cross
from Nichola, which sealed a very positive performance. Well done Stingers
and let’s get fired up for Bolton next Sunday who beat us in
the friendly.
