Match Report
Stingers were optimistic about playing Bolton after last week's result.
With
only 13 players Stingers knew a strong performance was needed.
The game started quite slowly, players weren't marked and Stingers
didn't
have much shape. After around 20 mins Bolton scored with a good goal
that
was hit so hard I didn't even see the ball. The game continued with
doubtful refereeing that was causing frustration. Bolton went 2 up
after a
well worked goal and Stingers became deflated once again. Half time
came
and Coach gave us a stern talking to which maybe some found quite
exciting.......Helen had a bad knee and it was decided that I should
play
up front and Lettie went in nets. After the initial shock of realising
that I had to run for more than 3 minutes Stingers got there shape
and the
passing and opportunities increased. Bolton scored another but Stingers
fought hard and a goal was coming but it wasn't to be. With 4 minutes
to go
Aish went for the ball and fell badly, with suspected torn ligaments
the
game was pretty much over. A much improved second half gave the Stingers
hope and it shows that I haven't lost my touch.......Stingers are at
Frodsham on Sunday which again will prove difficult but we know a win
is
almost on the horizon.
